ANDREA + BRYAN :: WEDDING

About a week before i shoot a wedding The nerves start to fly. Every horrible things that could possibly go wrong i play out in my head over and over again. 
It's not that I'm a negative person, but i tend to be a bit hard on myself (my husband knows this all too well )and strive for perfection, i mean come on who doesn't want the best...right?!  And a wedding is no small task...it's one, if not THEE most important day in someones life, and i need to capture the best of it! so holy stress case i become!!!

Anyway, back to the wedding...

So then i get to be a part of a wedding like this and could not be more thankful that these two somehow bring me back to sanity, back to earth, back to being calm cool and collective (hehe) on the outside. 

ANDREA AND BRYAN were the best couple to get me back into wedding season.  Not only are they completely in love with each other...but so relaxed, easygoing, and well just plain happy.  THE BEST.  did i mention beautiful. 

The ceremony was short and sweet, their family was great and the wedding party....as sweet as could be. oh and they rented a school bus to take the wedding party for some private pics. SUPER FUN. these guys were up for anything ...those pics are on friends camera only. we even stopped for a bit of a wine tasting...ohhhh sooo okanagan i LOVE it!

And now the two little love birds are gallivanting away somewhere in Europe for their month long honeymoon...so jealous!

It sure is fun turning 5! 

Little miss C (here) is turning 5....totally can't believe it!

At Easter time I had made some cupecakes for the family dinner and Miss C's momma asked if I would make her birthday cake...well if you know me you know I can't say no...so here we go, learn how to make a cake.  Yup, it was my first one....and on the request of C it had to be a princess cake.  Soooo needless to say I was up pretty late (by my standards anyway) trying to perfect the princess cake!

I was pretty proud of my cake...sure it's not up to 'cake boss' standards but I thought these little 5 year olds would LOVE it and I just had to be there when she saw it.   Soo, i tagged along for the fabulous birthday party...ponies and princesses...who could refuse.  These little girls had such a great time riding the pony and I think the cake was a hit! HAPPY BIRTHDAY C!

K :: FAMILY

This Easter weekend not only brought some BEAUTIFUL weather but a BEAUTIFUL family shoot as well.

You may notice one of the adorable couples from an expecting shoot I did back in December (click here).  WELL here they are again...with their brand new addition...sooo cute, right?! Anyway I guess it was time for a whole family portrait...and what a CUTE bunch!  I had a great time hanging out with this laid back family of 13.  And the rain held out woohooo...I do love a stormy sky though. Though the littlest grand kids really weren't into having their photo taken I was able to snap a few shots just hanging out by the lake.  And when the grandparents wanted a shot with the grand kids...well It'll definitely make you smile :)

A DAY WITH SPARKY

I spent a good part of the day on Saturday with MISS SPARKY JONES...and if you have yet to check out her stuff DO IT NOW!!! This girl is crazy talented! Her hats, bags, pouches (and even bags for the busy mommas) are not only SUPER CUTE but they're upcycled-recycled earth friendly too...how great is that!  The only problem with photographing her goodies...WELL... i WANT it ALL!!!

OHH the obi belts are super cute too!! 

SPARKY :: SNEAK

Today I had a super fun time photographing MRS.SPARKY JONES herself!!!  AND let me tell you I am a SUPER FAN!!! here's a sneak of our session today LOVE LOVE LOVE.  Mrs.Jones you really have NO need to be anxious infront of the camera...you are a beauty and your amazing personality shines through!

I LOVE the days I get the call to come up to kelowna to babysit my little nephew. 

Not only is he super cute (right!?!) but soooo much fun to photograph!!! His laid back personality and super happy attitude is not only contagious but shines through my lens...I LOVE taking pics Of him.

Oh and this little man turned 2 this month  and can list all the very important NHL hockey players hehe.  It's not very often you find him without his hockey stick...I'm Telling You, this kid plays hockey 24/7...and he's pretty much masters his slapshot, wrist shot, faceoffs and yes even hockey fights...Future NHL'er hmmmm only time will tell!!!
